slight vibration feels like wheel out of balance

I took delivery on a new 06 TL on saturday nite.

Two test drives at different dealers were impresive and car was perfect.

On the way home on the car we purchased noticed a vibration that felt to me
like the wheel was out of balance or something. Has anyone else had this problem? I hate to go back to the dealer and start bitching but it just doens't seem right.....not like the test cars I drove.

any imput would be helpfull.

thanks

You didn't test drive the car you bought?

Bring it back & tell them. BTW, bitching does't help anybody.

There are a lot of threads on this. I would take it back, be persistant, get it right.

Most likely culprits are a tire (especially if the car is non-nav and therefore shod with Bridgestones) or a wheel out of true.

Take it back to the dealer and have them diagnose it.

What? The type of tires installed are dependent on whether or not you have navi? I don't think so.

If the tires are the Bridgestone EL-42's, they go out-of-round if it's cold. A couple of miles at highway speed should see them back to normal. If it's bad, let the dealer know as a few on this board have received new tires.

I just picked up the 06 as well and it vibrates as well. I actually drove it twice before I bought it and the first time it vibrated. The dealer said it was cold tires (Michelins) and the following day I drove it and there was no vibration so I bought it. Now it vibrates again.
It feels like a harmonic vibration, much higher frequency than tire rotation and it has a rythmic cadence.
Can this type of vibration just come and go?

Yes...in many cases this was the fact.
