Side mirror / heated seat problem. Please advise.

OK guys, I know this has been discussed ad nauseam, but mine may be a bit different.

1. My windshield washer works fine
2. My heated seats work fine
3. My mirrors work fine

The problem is that on start-up, my driver's side mirror spazzes out, and my memory seats don't work.

After doing some research, I tried to replace the 7.5 amp fuse with a 10 amp, but there was already a 15 amp fuse in that space (and we purchased the car new). I replace the fuse and everything worked fine, for a day, then the fuse blew again.

So, my question is, what is causing this 15 amp fuse to burn? If it's the mirror actuator motor, great, I'd be happy to replace it, but what does that have to do with the memory seat function?

Also, an Acura part number for the actuator would be great. Is it 72155-SDA-A01?

This part: https://www.theacurapartsstore.com/o...FcK6wAodYOECUA

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Weird.. where did you get that part number?

I got : 76210-STX-H03 for your car.

From here: OEM Acura TL SEDAN 2007 MIRROR ('07) parts

Oh, just did a lookup, you got the door lock actuator! Above is what you need.

One question, do you leave the mirror adjuster on Left or Right by chance? Or is it in the middle neutral area.

My favorite mod coming to my rescue, thanks bro!

I always leave it in the middle because I know stuff goes crazy when I leave it on either side.

At lunch I got in my car, the mirror freaked out for just a second, stopped, and the seat light came on, basically indicating everything was fine. Then I get in the car to go back to work from lunch and the mirror is spazzing again until I select and move it, no seat light illumination. So I guess it's really broken, it just isn't sure sometimes? And why the 15 amp fuse from the factory?

So you think replacing the actuator is the right thing to do here?

On start up do you mean car engine on or like when you put it into reverse?
dis you try cleaning and greasing the mirror actuators?
that helped me with random mirror problems and noe have smooth operation and memory seats + mirror setting never forget their position.

Starting the engine. I have long since stopped leaving the mirror selected, I had issues with that, even after taking the passenger side apart and re-greasing it. You think that's what I need to do with the driver's side? It moves freely, and nicely if I select it, which the passenger side didn't do, it just freaks when I start the car (and it's not even selected). And when I had issues with the passenger side the memory seat was unaffected.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there doesn't seem to be an issue with the mirror's function when I select it, and use it, it's only that it spazzes out when I start the car. And of course, the memory seat is affected.

That's weird. You could try unplugging the mirror switch to eliminate the possibility. Takes few mins to remove the panel.

It could be the swing position sensor in the mirror actuator not reporting back to the controller properly. You also might want to check this post since it mentions other fuses to check https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p.../#post12684974 If it is only one mirror then it's a good chance it lies with the actuator for it.

The actuator isn't too expensive but the replacement looks "fun" according to the service manual. Looks like you need to route the harness through a grommet in the door and then put 9 wires into a 13P connector. Not sure if you need to re-use the the original or if the actuator comes with new connector. At least that's what it is for the 2005/2005 TL. I doubt it changed for your car.

It's down by the hood release, or where?

The switch itself is next to vsa. Youll have to pry that panel off.

Did the OP ever find a fix to this? It's been happening to my 08 TL for a year now and it's pretty annoying.

I need to replace my passenger mirror since my wife just blew it up backing out of the garage and I'm trying to decide whether to just buy the parts of the shell or the entire mirror.

Get the whole mirror off ebay or local part out in your color. Will be way easier and cost less.

just replace the actuator, its $74 for both of them and no more erratic memory seat adjustment. Mine used to do that all the time some time the seat trying adjust by itself (I never move the seat before that) and some time the little green light on the memory seat won't lit at all (not burn bulb). I replace both actuator and problem is gone.

OK guys, got my actuators in the mail today, replaced them both, zero issues now. Should have done that long ago...

Oh, and I broke one of the mirrors trying to get it off. I've taken the damn things off 3 times, you'd think I'd be used to it, but noooooooo had to break my shit. So I'm $47 lighter, who cares, everything is working!
