Sorry for the dumb question, but im just wondering if my car is a salvage title TL 04, can i still get the recalls done? The car was in a wreck and my friend had bought it from a place selling it wrecked. He fixed it up and sold it to me. He owns a shop but its like a small repair shop. Yet again sorry for the dumb question. Im just a noob needing help.

 

Certainly not a dumb question and I don't have a definitive answer, but IMHO, as the salvage title voids the factory warranty, I would assume it would also be the same for any recalls, not covered.

 

I would go to Acura link, plug in your VIN and see if any recalls are due on it. I wanna say that recalls are a safely issue and by law must be addressed. Go hear and register your TL:

Then you should be able to see if it needs the recalls done. Good luck.

 

I agree, regardless of the cars title, recalls SHOULD be covered due to the safety aspect of it. Warranty items are different obviously.

Vehicles with titles that have been branded as salvaged, scrapped, or dismantled are no longer covered by the new car warranty, with the exception of some emissions warranties and safety recalls. haii, when u bought the car from him he didnt offer you any warranty?

 

my car is actually a salvage or rebuilt title.. u can find this out by looking at the actual title of the car or the easiest way, atleast in florida, is to open the driver door, and in the inside you will see a pink sticker that says "REBUILT TITLE"
