RPMS first raise when shifting,

At first I thought my clutch was slipping as when I would shift, the rpms raise higher than normal than drop. This has been happening for almost 3 weeks and I drive a lot of miles a week. If the clutch was slipping, I would've thought it would have gone already. Even when normally accelerating, the rpms will raise and the speed of the car slowly increases. I have been driving lightly and slower than normal since this is happening. Any suggestions?

By far the most common of these is slipping.
it sounds like slippage.

as quoted above....self adjusting clutch.
it will feel the same right up until it goes.

I replaced my clutch 11/05/10.
My symptoms were: 1st gear all the way to redline, shift into 2nd clutch would get STIFF.
the only time i noticed it slipping was in higher gears, 5th and 6th, after a hard RPM run. would shift into 5th and accelerate but only the RPMs raised not speed.

Nice, I bought the clutch set from Acuraoemparts.com for $250
had a local mechanic install for around $400.

it doesnt really matter.
if the clutch was abused then it would go out sooner.
if you drive properly the clutch will last the life time of the car

a combination of the first owner, test drivers and my self learning how to drive the car resulted in a bad clutch at 35,000 miles.
