I am about to service the coolant system and the ATF. Neither maintenance reminder has come up yet. How do you reset those after doing the work? I know how to reset the oil back to 100% when I do it before the car thinks it is due but have no idea how to let the car know that both of these other items have been done. Since I am selling it soon, I don't want a new owner to get the reminder light unecessarily.

Pretty sure you can't reset it until the reminder appears. Just keep the receipts and tell the new owner what has been done.

 

Thanks. I always keep every receipt and a spreadsheet of all maintenance for new owners, so they'll not get gouged at a dealer. I basically go through everything just before I sell it as it all very simple to do if you wrench all the time, but big $$ at the stealer if you don't.
