Air box noise when turning off the car?
When I turn off 08 acura tl type s, there is always the sound of a vacumn being released or something like this. It sounds like the air being quickly let out of a air box. I'm just wondering if this ir normal? after i took my car to acura for service, it started doin it.
They didn't seal the airbox properly after a filter install/check. Get it fixed quickly, you don't want dirty air going into the engine.
All TLs do this but the stock airbox muffles the noise.

Any time you install an after market air cleaner special CAI your gonna get lots of noise coming from the intake. My other vehicle that's a Ford F150 was real noticeable at idle you could hear a lot of hissing coming from inside the air cleaner and when you shut it off you get like a whoosh sound, which is basically the vacuum (low pressure) in the intake equalizing with the high pressure out side the intake Throttle body.

only other thing could be a Vac. leak, TL have very little vac hoses compared to old Honda's looked like an bowl of spaghetti The TL has vacuum to the brake booster, evap canister, and i think for climate control actuators. and cruise control if it is not throttle by wire. hope this helps a bit.
