Is there something common that comes loose? It comes and goes and sounds like it is behind the glove box. It changes with roads and speeds.

Did you take the glove box out to see if there is something back there? May be time to change your filter and inspect? How long have you had the TL?

 

I didn’t do anything yet. I only own the car 3 months. I figured it was worth asking before I go trying to take apart stuff.

 

You'll need to basically take the glove box out to change the cabin filter anyways.

 

I don't recall reading on here too much about a rattle in that area although TL's can have some pretty annoying rattles and squeaks

 

I had a rattle/noise you mention in same location and took opportunity while change cabin air filter to investigate. Found bracket back there very loose and suspect was not secured when they swapped out airbag under recall when owned by PO. Tightened up and voila no more rattle.
