radio backlights not working

You can see where the 3 and 4 stopped lighting up. I checked my fuses already. They all seem fine. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Radio is light up by standard filament bulbs soldered into the board. They last a long time, but not a lifetime. And because they are all powered from the same source, bulb just went out.

Either replace all of them, or replace them with LEDs. There is more than one thread about replacing interior lights.

I've searched and can't find anything relating to replacing the radio's lights.

Those blue things are 'standard' bulbs with blue rubber condom on them. Either replace your old bulbs with new (if you can find them somewhere) or replace them with LEDs.

So they're soldered into the board? Are they easily replaceable? What about the idea of swapping out boards? Does the radio code get changed?

Yes they are soldered. Not that hard to replace. I heated one side up, used pliers or flat screwdriver to lift the bulb on that side, and then heated other pad while lifting whole bulb. 90% of the work is getting radio out of the dash.

Replacing the front board would work, but that's a lot of work and money for not much gain. And then what if 'new' board bulbs will burn out week later.

Front panel has nothing to do with the code (well I never tested that, but it has single chip on that board that 'encodes' the signal so it requires less pins to transfer data from buttons to the radio, shouldn't have anything to do with the code)

I would say either do it right (replace all bulbs with new or replace all bulbs with LED) or live with it.

And then worst case, if something goes bad, you can look for another radio or panel.

its a lot of work to remove the radio to replace 2 bulbs. simple led replacement or bulb replacement will not get to the same color temperature, unless you buy from acura directly, I'm not even sure if they sell it anymore. If you are going to replace the radio lights, you might as well change out the lights all over the dash since everything is going to be taken out. They're notorious for going out. search the older posts, this has been discussed ad naseum.

So I guess my easiest solution is to get some bulbs from a scrapped tl and solder one in. From that picture of the board above, it looks like 1 bulb lights up 2 numbers.
