Questions on 2 parts I need replaced

had a diagnostics ran on 2 issues im having.

issue 1:
rattling under the car, they took a look and its just the catalytic converter shield being loose. they wanted $350 to fix. both shields combined were like $70.

my question:
how hard is it to replace these on my own? or worst case take to a local garage and avoid acura charging me almost $300 in labor

issue 2:
my doors lock when the key is in the ignition when my door opens and shuts. resulting in me locking my keys in my car like 6x already. if i valet, or a friend borrows the car, it happens all the time. super pain in the ass. only way to avoid is to keep the window down, or just be very conscious of it.

the diagnosis was that i needed "drivers door main fuse box assembly". ive spoken to a couple people and they have no idea what that means. basically when my car is running, and i shut my drivers door, you almost hear a misfire in the locking system, and my driver door locks, followed by the other 4 doors. its only when the key is in the on position, or the car is running. acura wanted like $400 to do it including part and labor

my question:
anyone know what exact part they are referring to? what actual part cost would be? and level of difficulty to replace/

Item #1 has a TSB. Follow the instruction at the top of the linked page, then find TSB 07-026. Perhaps you can warranty or Good Will.

If it is the catalytic converter sheild, they just bolt to each other. Access may be difficult, but turning a bolt isn't.

Well, you've got 3 catalytic converters. 2 primaries that bolt to the engine head right were the exhaust exits the engine (they are in place of traditional down-pipes). They may be more difficult to reach.

The 3rd cat is under the car, just after the J-Pipe. If you have ramps or a jack and stands, it's very accessible.

I had some similar problems with my car. The windows would open without me touching the controls. I was told the problem was the fuse box. I got a perfect working replacement in EBAY, changed it and the problem has gone since. The cost was $65.00 for the fuse box! I hope this helps.
