Problem with HID Fog Install Need Help

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I Purchased a 07 tls a few months back . Just now got a chance to convert my fogs to hids in 3000k. I am having a bit of a problem with the install. I am running an express harness w/o relay . When everything is plugged in once the fog switch is activated one side of the fog flickers for a few seconds then shuts off.

What I want to know for the ones tha have converted your 07 tls to hids are you having the same problem. I tested the hids directly to the battery all works fine so it cant be a defective part. I am guessing it requires a full relay harness to run .

I figure I come on this board to confirm before i order a relay harness for my fogs

You need to run a relay and get battery directly from the battery.

Like stated previously... it's best to run these HID kits directly from the battery with the use of a relay... however, you can change the underhood foglight fuse from 10 amps to 15~20 amps... If you check... it's probably blown right now...

Good Luck

after my failed attempt when u put the halogen's back yes it did blow the fuse. So your saying if i want to avoid runnind a full relay harness all i have to do is up the fuse to avoid flickering?

I would UP the fuse as a temporary measure... 'cause Honda used thin wires to power those bulbs and they wouldn't handle the extra load for a long period of time...

Please do the right thing and use a RELAY to power the HID's directly from the battery...

Oh don't get me wrong I don't plan on half a**ing a 37000 investment. I wanted to get it working temporary until I get the relay harness in from the place I got my hid fogs from. In any case thx for all of your help.
