Oil level
I was looking into the 2008 Acura TL S manual and it doesn't show anything about how to check the Oil Dip Stick.
Anyone have pix to show me what levels are okay and what is low?

Also generally the two dots represent approx a quart. So, if you do an oil change and it's at the low dot (after letting the oil level out) it needs about 1 more quart. It's a handy way to read oil consumption if you have a problem with it.

Well, looking at the dip stick it doesn't say high or low but looks like a mesh grill.
I take it that the top of the mesh grill looking thing is the high mark and the bottom is the low mark.

Anywhere in this "mesh grill" is an acceptable level of oil. I prefer to keep it around 3/4 or higher.

Yep.
On mine, when I do an oil change 4.5 quarts is right in the middle; 5 qts is at the top end of the 'mesh grill', which backs up what ez12a said about the 2 dots.

Good feed back, was good to know. I've always wondered but keep forgetting to ask.

I hate to bring up an old topic but I didn't want to post a new thread. I don't know if I have the wrong dip stick but no matter what I do, after 4 quarts with filter change, my dip stick already reads full and past max line. I check both cold and warm engine after 15 minutes. I don't even pour another 1/2 quart in.
Is this possible? There are a lot of people who pour 5 quarts in but I find it odd that there is such a large discrepancy.

are you changing your oil on level ground?
dip stick should have a plastic orange pull, and seat firmly in the engine. I think it even has a o-ring on it.

Yes changing and check oil on level ground. I've checked it the last three days and level stays the same. I mean if its 4 qts its 4 qts but it also worries me most people put in 5 qts and old get to max line while I put in 4 qts and get to the max line.

And you should only need to add 4.5 quarts to get it to the top of the mesh, not 5 quarts.
Are you the original owner? Are you sure you have an OEM dipstick? Look in your owner's manual. Does it have the "mesh" area as depicted along with the double "o-rings"? (pg. 167 in the 2004 OM):

I am not the original owner. I will check the dipstick in the morning since its dark. That is my first suspect that I have the wrong dip stick. I found the part number online and I am going to see if the one I have has the same part number.
Yes thats what worries me but I dont know what could cause this. Maybe I have a different oil pan? This is the third time I've changed the oil and each time is the same.
