Weird shake while in drive?

I was driving my 2006 Acura TL & when coming from the freeway on the exit- I stopped at the stop light, noticed my car was slightly vibrating when I was at a complete stop, I put the car in park and back in drive, the vibrating stopped. Did not happen again, what could have that been & what should I look for?

Thanks for any responses.

This is more likely to be motor mount problem.

If it were a motor mount problem, wouldn't the check engine light come on?

The odd part is it only happen once, never again.

The CEL won't come on if your motor mounts are an issue since there are no sensors for them

The motor mounts can become loose over time and need to be tightened. In some cases they bind and vibrate all the time. What you did is actually part of the engine mount neutralization procedure to make sure the engine is in a "comfy" and neutral position. Then the mounts are tightened to spec!

Without looking at them I can't say for sure. It might be that they bolts just need to be tightened! But if they are cracked and are moving around a lot then your going to have to replace them. From your description in your orignal post, I think they just are loose and need to be tightened with a wrench!

thanks for the responses, I think I am going to wait tell my next oil change to ask the dealer about it & recommend them to check the engine mounts, the fact that it has not happened again- I am waiting tell my next oil change, unless it just happens again before the oil change, I am going to see them before that.
