Hello to everyone.
Few days ago I bought 2005 TL with at

all would be fine if not lights inside..
looks like something is wrong with wiring or radio .
I have missing light in :
ac/ vents mode temperature adjustment on both sides
steering wheel
radio buttons
shifter
mirror switch
vsc switch
trip computer dimmer switches


only lights which works are :
glove light
armrest light
radio screen
ac/vents screen
cluster

any ideas ?
i have checked all fuses underknee and under hood, all seems to be fine,
are these all lights are on same circuit ?
is radio has anything to lights on ac vents on both sides ( since they are connected to radio ) maybe radio is damaged inside ?

what i noticed :
all switches works as they should
radio cd and all stuff works fine..

what i found is that somebody exchange radio before I owned this car since there are yellow marks on the back of the radio with model and year ( looks like radio was for sale from junk yard etc )

any advice ?

I took apart center console to look if any sockets are loose or something, all seems to be fine.
One thing which I found there is small connector along with wire which going to cigarette lighter.
any idea what is this for ?

It's the bulbs that go out. Really common.

 

I will order bulbs and Let You know if this is a problem...
what is this socket next to cigaret lighter wire ?

 

 

just ordered new radio with ac buttons etc, cost 80bucks, after swap I will see if this was problem with radio or something else ( fuses seems to be fine )

 

new radio works the same.... everything is ok except lights... i ve checked all fuses etc, i am out of idea , i wil probably put new wires ( bypass ) ex from armrest light streight to shifter light and ac lights... i am tired of this

 

does anybody know which wires are responsible for feeding light in ac/vent buttons on both sides ?
