Hi all,

First of all, I'm very pleased that a community like this exists for people who own these impressive rides. I just got mine black on black 2004 TL today. I went to the dealer, test-drove, and made my decision right away.

The car handles like a dream, but I'm experiencing several problems that I didn't even think to check before settling with the dealer:

1. The 6-cd system does not play cds at all. The radio works fine, the disc slot eats and spits cds just fine, the cd-switching works fine, but it just won't play any cd (burned cd in mp3, burned in standard format in Roxio, legit store-bought cd). I searched all over the net and it seems like its a common problem with no definitive answer.

2. The wind shield sprayer does not work. I checked the washer fluid, which is full. There is no sound when I pull the handle.

3. This is the most random one. The motors that adjust the mirrors don't work. When I push the control pad, the motors work for 'right' and 'down' directions, but nothing happens when I push 'left' or 'up'. This is the case for both mirrors, so it seems like it is an electronic/control problem rather than a motor malfunction.

Sorry about bombarding you guys with questions. I love the car and all, but I'm just really bothered by these annoying problems that I discovered after driving it off the lot. Stereo, mirrors, and windshield sprayers. And I was concerned with the miles on the car.

try checking the fuses... and if the fuses look fine, i would say go confront it with the dealer you purchased the car from.

 

Did u get it from an acura dealership or some other dealership??

 

It wasn't an Acura dealership. I got it from a small auto trader.

 

oyyy prepare for a hefty bill from acura if ur not under warranty! but check fuses first...or bring it back to that auto trader and bitch him out!!

 

Mirrors and washers are due to a fuse. Sounds strange but one fuse powers both the washer motor and the power mirrror control unit. If you cant figure it out let me know.
