Need help !!

*before you read, my check engine light is on for a evap and my battery light does come on and off randomly but the parts store guy checked it and said it’s my battery*I was driving down the road and all the lights started to come on and off and the car jerked really hard. When I pressed the gas it did not really respond. I pulled over and cut it off and then back on, once I did that it made me put my code in for my nav and it turned my check engine light off. Could this really be just my battery or something more, it also gave me a p6085 on my nav.

Test the battery to see if it's good. Battery should display 12.4 volts when the car is off. Use a multimeter to check voltage.

so you definitely think it’s the battery I mean the guy at the auto part store said that something in the battery didn’t read right and I was thinking the guy before me said that the garage door opener kept killing the battery for a year straight. I was just really freaked out by the whole thing

if the battery has less than 12.4 volts, it would be suspect.

the Hands Free link likes to draw on the battery.
that could be why the battery is draining.

if you remove the hands free link module, it would stop draining the battery.

You either have a bad/failing battery, alternator, or battery cables. We can't tell you anymore over the Internet, you will need to do some more checking yourself or take it somewhere for more investigation.
