my fan is going crazy!!
Help!
I have an `06 5AT. The past three days, my fan's have been going crazy!! on... off for 2 seconds...on for 20. off for 2.... on,off,on,off.... its going nuts.
I have about 8K on it and its never done this before, and its definitely not that hot out anymore (60 - 70degrees)
what would be causing this? i checked for obstrucions.... engine is running at optimum temp. (probably cause the fans are going crazy)
the car is going to Acura on thursday for the stupid sub rattles (4th time) so ill have em check it out. but for now im worried....
what gives? any suggestions?

It is normal if the climate control is on Auto or the a/c is on. There are 2 fans on the front of the car, one for the radiator and one for the condenser. The one for the condensor only runs when the a/c compresser comes on. The a/c compresser on Hondas only runs when the evaporater needs it. So everytime the compresser comes on the fan will come on and run as long as the compresser is running. I hope I explained this well enough.

One other simple step: check the coolant and oil levels. If there is less coolant, a car's engine runs hotter and will kick the fan(s) on. Hopefully the dealer had filled both coolant and oil to proper capacity upon delivery of your TL, but check anyway.
