You see the stuff at the bottom of the mirror? This is not on the outside of the mirror. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen before and if there is a fix for it beyond just replacing the glass portion of the mirror.

I was told it was from the heat. Make sure to turn off your heated mirrors when not needed.

Common issue! Replace glass piece if it gets to bad

Never use heated mirrors in San Diego and mine have done this. Typically its moisture between the mirror silver and glass

Get new mirrors and use the heated function only when needed

mine was worst. after driving around years like that I finally replaced both side last month. Becareful removing the mirror, I accidently broke one of the mirror actuator during the mirror removal process ( lucky parts were not expensive) lol

Unfortunately, leaving the heated mirrors on for an extended amount of time will cause that.

I have never used my mirror heater and the browning is spreading like cancer.

I'm just going to replace mine, but I think it's probably from moisture since I wash my car 3 times a week.

Changed my diver side a few weeks ago, its faily easy to fix.
Part was 38$ at Acura, and they should have in stock as its a common problem. I had the same problem on my BMW, i think it has something to dowith the heated mirrors and the blue tint. Other cars iv owned that had heated mirrors without blue tinted never had this problem.
