Lower trans mount change

I'm looking for info on changing the lower trans mount on a 3.2 AT. There's lots of info about doing the upper but I haven't found any good info on doing the lower mount.

I did this on my 07 Accord V6, but it should be the same for the TL.
- remove passenger side engine mount
- remove air box + hose
- remove bolt for upper trans mount
- place front end on 2 jack stands
- remove 4 lower nuts for the 2 lower trans mounts
- place a piece of wood on a hydraulic jack and jack up the transmission, you want to jack up toward the rear of the trans. You will hear the studs for the lower trans grind against the sub frame, but the studs will clear out of the sub frame.
- now remove the bolts for the lower trans mount that bolts to the transmission itself. You'll need a 14mm crowfoot for the rear lower mount's bolts
- install new mounts, and lower the trans SLOWLY. You'll hear the studs grind against the sub frame again, but they'll seat back down in the sub frame just fine.
- secure 4 nuts for the lower mounts, reinstall air box + hose

thanks for the information. Are the mounts on the back or front of trans? I'm hoping this fixes the last of my vibration, changed all mounts but this, hoping I didn't break another mount from not having them changed out all at once.

There is one up front and one in the back of the trans.

Thanks, did this reduce droning or vibration from the engine much? After changing all motor mounts + upper trans, there's still droning, a good amount of engine noise and a vibration that I can feel through the steering wheel when the car is in gear

Did you use OEM mounts or aftermarket? Most of the aftermarket ones do not have vacuum assist to stabilize the vibration via hydraulic fluid.

I used aftermarket mounts, the front mount has a vaccuum fitting on it but rear one doesn't, there's been some improvement in vibration after every mount change

Changed the mounts tonight, rear lower was split right in half, front was still together but rubber was very hard. Definitely made a big improvement!
