Can a moderately skilled shadetree mechanic (me) change out the Trans mount. I have searched, and found that it takes about 20 minutes with the trans out, and up to a couple of hours with it in, I can't find a DIY on it, and I am about to dig through the service manual to see what's listed there.

What say you...

 

DO NOT REMOVE THE TRANNY!!!! You just have to jack the car up, brace the transmission so it doesn't fall, and replace the mounts. It's pretty easy.

 

Trans mount is simple. Take wheel off, Unbolt the bottom 4 nuts then support the trans lifting slightly and unbolt the side and remove.

 

How many tranny mounts are there?

In looking through the service manual, it appears that there may be two?
