Low on coolant, possible leak location found. Confirm?

Hey guys, first time posting on this board with an official username. I've been lurking for some time now. First off, I just want to say that I've searched for the cause of my problem on Google and was linked to many threads related to my problem on here.

I was doing my brakes today and noticed a drop of coolant on a nut situated on the lower passenger side of the car next to the wheel well. Prior to this I have noticed some stains on the driveway and have yet to put the car on ramps to check underneath. Now, I'm guessing those stains were coolant. I popped open the hood and examined around the over flow tank and radiator.
Radiator was still full of coolant but the over flow reservoir was quite a bit below the MIN mark (pictures below). It seems like there are white dried up residuals around the over flow tank's body and cap. Also, I noticed a lump of dried green coolant underneath where the rubber hose connects to the radiator underneath the radiator's cap. There seems to be dried up coolant at the connection point.

Many people in most of the threads were saying it could be a bad over flow tank cap or radiator cap and also a blown head gasket. I will put the car on ramps tomorrow and trace the leak and do a more thorough inspection. As of right now, I would appreciate it if you guys can look at the pictures and tell me what your thoughts are? Thanks

Btw, car is an auto 2006 TL.

Dried coolant from where the black rubber hose connects to under the radiator cap.

White dried-residue surrounding the overflow tank cap.

View of behind radiator cap.

Seems like fresh coolant was leaking and hasn't dry up yet underneath radiator cap.

Reservoir was empty way past the MIN mark.

Radiator is still full with coolant.

its leaking from where that little rubber hose connects to the radiator under the cap in the first picture.

Could be a bad cap too

I'm thinking the same but it also could be the cap seal. My hose had a little residue around it at the connection to the radiator as well. I don't know why there isn't a small clamp right there...older hondas had a small clip to keep that Jose on tighter. I wound up adding my own small clamp and no more leak.
Your leak is much more excessive though. make sure the radiator isn't cracked too

Thanks guys!

I filled up the over flow tank this morning to the MAX line and took it to run some errands. When I got home and checked around that black rubber hose connected to the radiator from the tank, I noticed some more leaking. Also, checked under the car with the panel off and couldn't seem to locate coolant leak anywhere else down there since it's so tight. I'm guessing it's leaking from the rubber hose and over time trickled down along the radiator to other parts of the car.

Went to Home Depot and picked up a hose clamp and connected to the rubber hose where I suspect is leaking. Cleaned up the area real well so I can check for further leaks. Started the car and let the engine warm up to operating temperature and it didn't seem like the rubber hose was leaking anymore. Will take the car for a spin tomorrow keeping my fingers crossed that it's just a simple hose clamp fix.

I've had to change that hose that runs from the reservoir cap to the radiator since it was leaking slowly as well. Seems like over time the rubber gets loose and doesn't form a nice tight grip on the nipple anymore (probably due to heat?).

I had the same leak before. I placed a clame on the hose that connects to the radiator and problem solved.

This thread was helpful, I have near identical looking leak on 05 TL. I replaced the hose and added a clamp and the leak persists. Is there a thread with how to replace a 3G radiator ? Any other tips? Thanks

I hope you replaced the cap as well? I had a slight leak after 8 years and simply replaced the cap and all is fine now.
