I believe you need to get a resistor of some sort to make that work. im sure someone else will be able to give you specifics

i added leds for my fog light in my 05 and one bulb lit up fine and the other one was dim. i had to switch the polarity on the one that was dim and that fixed the problem.

Before.....

After......

I can't remember the make or who the seller was but i bought it off of ebay. I think it wasn't too expensive either. Maybe 20 something. In my avatar pic those are the LED's so they are bright enough for sure. This is the closest thing to it for the price range i found on ebay today....

I just had the same exact problem too. I ordered two halogen bulbs for it instead. I just want a whiter bulb, not a brighter bulb. I'm going to send back the LED's. I didn't know that reversing the polarity would solve the problem.

I thought there was something wrong with the bulb so i swaped it with the good one and that did the same thing so i knew it was not the bulb so made some jumpers and tried from the battery and switching the polarity worked. I also wanted a whiter bulb to go with the HIDs.

If you have a 07+ TL the reason is because your DRLs don't run at 12V. That is the reason why the OEM bulbs run dimmer than typical 55watt bulbs. The LED bulbs you are putting in there require 12V. There is an old thread about it somewhere if you search.

Yes, that is true-I didn't want to go to all that trouble, so I ordered the halogens. I'm going for a whiter light, not a brighter light. Thus my decision.

Rocky, I knew you would know the straight scoop on this. The dealership thought it was 12 volt, since everything runs on 12 volt on the 2007+ TL's.

That's exactly what I just ran into myself I just installed LED DRL's from iJDMtoy with the "special drl decoders" that supposebly get rid of the DRL error in the dash. My DRLs light up but are not as bright as I thought they should be and my DRL lights still come up on the dash although I have the whole decoder kit installed correctly any help would be appreciated. I bought this kit for my 08 TL Type S ---> http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Da...d_sku45_r3.htm

I had the same issue with mine and I got them from Vleds. James has actually helped me alot with this but I am still at a loss. Right now I'm running mine without any harnesses from the kit at all. I don't have any codes either. But now I have a new issue my drls go off after some time and I don't know why. I'm thinking without a resistor they're heating up and cutting off to cool down then turning back on. The harness that came with the kit actually made the car throw a drl code. And with the resistor harness alone they don't light up as much as they do without it.

I'm wondering if there is anyway to wire in the resistor alone or maybe the polarity is wrong like stated before
