Knock Sensor

Does anyone have any idea on how to replace a Knock Sensor on a 2005 Acura TL? I would rather take a whole Saturday to get it done instead of paying 501.92 to have it done at the Acura Dealership.

Not sure what the code number is the guy didn't give it to me. But I took it to one of the local Acura dealerships and they said it was the knock sensor.

whats your email. i'll send you the pdf pages for the job. its an easy job. if you are mechanically inclined. i just replaced mine over the weekend due to the rat chewing the wire out.

couple of pointers.

1) its easier to remove the tb off the manifold instead of keeping it on there.

2) its not necessary to replace the gaskets except possibly the tb if it is rip. the manifold gasket is metal so unless its truly warped dont replace it.

if your replacing the wire . just remove the p/s pump and you can get your hand in there . with removing the belt and the pump and replaced the wire it will take 30 mins
tops. i do them all the time.

Carlo/anybody:

I have a '02 TL. The dealer said I have a bad knock sensor. Do you have a pdf drawing or replacement procedure for this job? I want to replace it by myself.
Thank you a lot!
