Jumper pins 4-9 on OBD connector?

I searched pretty hard for this specific question but didn't find anything for the 3GTL about this jumping the pins on the OBD connector. I've seen posts that say you can't jump OBD-II cars and others that say you can so that's that's why I'm asking.

If got an intermittent airbag light (the red guy in seat with bag in face next the seat belt light) and I'd like to get the DTC codes and see if it's the common seat belt buckle problem (61-10). The dealer's pretty far away and will charge to scan so I'm heading by the local Autozone store later to get the car scanned. The thing is both the guy at the store and I aren't very optimistic about the SRS DTCs being readable by their tool.

So, has anyone jumped pins 4 to 9 on the OBD connector in a 3G TL and successfully retrieved any airbag codes? I've seen all kinds of threads about doing it on Hondas but nothing specific to the 3G TL. I even saw this link (Honda Accord Airbag srs abs diagnose) which is being done on an 05 Accord which is a close cousin but not the same exact thing. And even if it does work not sure what codes starting with 61 would even blink like.

So I just sprayed a little bit of silicone spray in the slot of the buckle and pretty aggressively buckled and unbuckled the belt for a bunch of times. No More Airbag Light I guess that's the issue. If if comes back then I'll just replace the buckle.

If you do this go easy with how much you spray and stick to silicone over other stuff like WD40. It's better for electrical connections/contacts.

The light goes out but the code is stored.

The SRS light is usually caused by an open in a seat belt buckle switch. Most of the time, it's a faulty driver's seat belt buckle. Either way, both front buckles are covered under lifetime warranty.

Some codes are latching and some aren't. The seat belt buckle aren't the latching kind but are still stored in memory. The light will go out if the situation is resolved. Even if it's covered a trip to the dealer and the lost time for me is probably more than just replacing it at my leasure.
