05 TL ... auto transmission feels kinda jerky... and hesitant to shift. about 50 k miles on it. Got the car about a month ago... not sure if the problem was present from the beginning or not

 

Is it holding a certain gear longer before shifting.. like rev to 4-5k RPM before shifting under moderate throttle?

Any CEL's?.. Get it checked for the codes if any. You should assume, unless you have the maintenance record that they haven't done anything to the vehicle.

edit: also.. check the tranny fluid. Check the color.. What does it smell like?
