Issues with engine bucking while driving
I was driving home going around 60-65 mph suddenly the engine started bucking .No check engine light Acted as it had a engine miss. Slowed down and it seemed to go away. Anybody have any thoughts what this could be? Engine, transmission?
No clue, but can you recreate it or has it happened since? Even if it didn't cause a CEL, you might try scanning it because the ECU may have saved some DTC codes and freeze frame data about the event. If you don't own a code scanner, most auto parts stores (AutoZone, O'Reilly, etc.) and many repair shops will scan it for free and provide you with a report.

@Jason Converse It could be your APP sensor (Accelerator Pedal Position) sensor. You can Google it as there are a number of threads on it. Here is one - https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...sensor-912154/

FWIW, my APP sensor crapped out on my 2007 TL in May 2022 at 87K miles. When it did, the TL threw a DTC code on the Navi screen and went into limp mode. Fortunately, I was only a couple of miles from home. I replaced it with this and haven't had an issue since:
Update on engine bucking while driving.
It was the alternator that was the issue. It had the original alternator with 209k on it .I replaced it with a Denso OEM replacement and is working great. Thanks for everyone's input on this.
