Installing the damper... Help

Help... I just installed the damper and found that there is a small little bracket with a welded bolt on it. This bracket hits the plastic guard. Should I be cutting that off?

Ya. Guess that would have helped. I just cut it off. The damper I was referring to is the one that "eliminates" the vibration at 1,600 rpm. Seems to have worked. We'll see tomorrow.

Nice to hear, let us know if it worked. Did you get the damper at a dealer or online? How much?

How did installing the damper work out for you and how is it holding up? And is your car a 6spd?

Were you following the directions on the TSB for the dynamic damper, and the directions did not address the tab? I am going to be installing the same thing this weekend.

Based on your experience with these dampers, how effective would you say they are?
