inside door handle/latch peeling

Hello everyone, long time no see I have a question that might concern some people out there also. did anyone have problem with their inside door handle on the driver side? the back side of the door handle (chrome shiny finish) is bubbling up and sounds like broken scotch tap. is that normal? right now, i'm a little over the 50k mark with the extended warrenty. will the extended warrenty cover the repair and replacement?

The part looks relatively inexpensive, ~$30.

But I don't know about installation and/or DIY replacement.

I'd like to think this a warranty and/or Good Will item. Certainly sounds like it should be.

Same thing happened to me, I got a whole new handle assembly online for 25 dollars, I doubt they'll cover it under warranty.

Yep, mine is doing the same thing. The car is out of warranty now and the dealership will charge for it - at least that's what they told me. I can live with it since you can't see it.

mine is the same but on the passenger side. I never knew until one day when my friend opened the door and told me why does the handle feel like the silver part is bubbling/flaking from the back handle.

All four of mine were just replaced within and under the factory warranty, driver's side was the worst.

my rear driver side has a chip in it, i wonder if that will be covered under warranty. It seems more like a wear and tear issue.
