I solved my rear deck rattle problem with 3 pieces of scotch tape

Before I go into my story, I just wanted to say hi to my fellow TL'ers. This is my first post, and have been reading threads on this forum for over a month. This is by far the most informative site I've ever been on, and can't stay away! I'm not an expert when it comes to car maintence, but I'm tired of giving the stealer all my money! Anyways.....

In early August I picked up an 06 Anthracite AT w/ navi. Luckily, the only rattles I have(or had) were the rear deck, and passenger side door. I finally found my rattle in the rear. It was the child seat latch cover directly in front of the sub. There are 3, but only the one in front of the sub rattled. After thinking of something quick and easy, I put 3 pieces of tape along the latch cover...and presto....rattle is 99.9% gone. On certain songs, which are few and far between, I hear a SLIGHT rattle, but it's like night and day compared to before.

Now with the passenger door rattle. I've figured out that it was the pouch compartment(the thing that bends out towards the seat). When I opened it up the rattle disappeared. So I haven't figured out what to do with this one, but I know where it is, and I intend to figure something out.

usually you can put some felt where the pocket closes and touches the dorr panel and that usually solves it.

Yup i put a few of those soft circle stuff that goes on a bottom of a chair's led on each side of the pocket in the TL and the rattle is gone.

Those are great ideas guys, tomorrow I'm heading to Home Depot to pick me up some of those. Do they stick rather well?

ya. cleaning the area with alcohol or similiar cleaner will help. at the shop we use this roll of tape with felt or foam on that other end of it, it works well.
