How is the transimission supposed to function after a rebuild?

Ok so approx a week ago I got my tranny rebuilt after getting the P0740 cel code. The clutches had no "meat" on them and the fluid was burnt.

During the rebuild I had the mechanic change the pressure switches and put new mounts for the eng/tranny

Symptoms before the rebuild: Slipping, hard shifts in gear, 3-4 seconds to shift from drive to park or to reverse (and the other way around) burnt fluid.

Now my question is: After the tranny has been rebuilt and all that good stuff HOW is it supposed to function? I mean it sounds like a dumb question but it still feels as if there is a 2-3 second delay when going from park to drive

Is this normal with our cars?

Also, probably what still has me paranoid , to what extent should you "feel" the car shifting when accelerating, if at all?

any input at all would be amazing, im hoping im just paranoid but they did give me a year warranty so if anything I can take it back ASAP

Try resetting your ECU.

resetting your ecu will only help temporally, your transmission will more than likely always have that delay between shifts from P to D.
