How to remove carpet?

Is there any video or tips on how to remove the carpet.

The previous owner of my car was a pig and the carpet is really dirty. I want to remove it so I can pressure wash it.

I know the seats need to be removed. I have removed the fronts already which is no problem. I need to know how to get the side door sils (sp?) off and how to remove the rear seat. Also does the center consule need to be removed?

Remove both front seats, center console, dead pedal, rear lower seat only and all plastic trims that run along the carpets.

It'll take a while, but take your time and it'll come out. Once you get the everything out of the way, fold the front (carpet near the pedals) over the middle (where the seats were) and fold the rear carpet over the middle; that makes it much easier to pull out from the front doors.

Also, I suggest using Simple Green and a scrub brush. Pressure wash the carpet to get the loose stuff off, then use a liberal amount of simple green and scrub it a lot. You may have to "rinse and scrub" a few times to get it clean. This usually takes a while, so I would start as early in the morning as you can.

I got the carpet out. The carpet goes under the shifter and under the ebrake. I just cut the carpet at those locations. You also have to pull it over the gas pedal. For that I just removed the pin and slid it over the top of the pedal.

Carpet came out WAAAYYYY cleaner after pressure washing. Almost looks new again.

Should i be concerned with taking out the seats with side airbags? Is there any risk of them exploding or do I have to reset any thing?
