your switch for the mirror has to be on the R or L for the mirrors to tilt down, if its in the middle they won't tilt down. Make sure it's on the R or L...

Yes, if you want your driver mirror to go down you set it to that side, your left, and visa versa for the other mirror

hope that helped!

You will only be able to choose either Drivers side or Passengers side, and do as 05TLdcc has stated and will work.

Ya my car was doing both mirrors then just the right now just the left. I didnt realize the position of the mirror level would have anything to do with this.

The only way both mirrors will drop at the same time is if you have an aftermarket kit. I don't remember who sells it though. From the factory, like stated, only one mirror will drop down at a time

There is a kit out from KP Technologies, that allows both mirrors to tilt when put in reverse. The company makes the Window roll-up mod for our cars. That is odd that some people's cars can do both, while being stock. huh?

When I first purchased my vehicle just over a year ago both mirrors adjusted down when in reverse. I didn't realize the inside mirror control was used for this feature. I'm going to try it later.

My 2004 Acura TL has the automatic mirror adjustment that functions every time you put the car in reverse. It moves down to let you see the curb while you are backing up. It then moves back to its normal position while driving forward. If your car used to do that, you may want to see this post to fix it: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...-045-a-832020/
