Help ! Power steering

yayayay..
i know change the inlet o-ring from the reservoir.

i did that the other day but i still seem to be having a weird noise coming from my pump. the noise is substantially better now compared to before i replaced the o-ring, but im still having a weird kind of gurgle sound being emitted.

im pretty sure the pump is fine, i still have full steering with no resistance.

any ideas acurazine?????

If you're getting air in the system, it may be coming from a seal other than the inlet o-ring. GuitarPlayer16 (iirc) did a good DIY on rebuilding the PS pump which replaces all the rubber seals and o-rings. There is a link on this page: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-garage-faq-3g-tl-newbies-553554/

As far as the TSB access, you have to follow the access instructions Ron A posted before the TSB links will work. Go to the link below for the instructions and the TSB links.

start by doing cheaper things....

replace the o-ring....hope that will take care of the noise....also do a PS flush....

both the links here:

i already replaced the inlet o-ring about 3-4 days ago.
i did not try flushing my system though. i mite do this as well.
i wouldnt mind rebuilding all the seals inside the pump for my own personal satisfaction. lol

^^^ i would try the flush first....i am guessing there might be some air in the system....

with the car on, check if you see bubbles in the PS reservoir....if you do, then do the rebuilt before you do a flush....if no bubbles, then flush first....

LOL yah man
i woke up to like 5 cm of snow lol
but yah i went n checked the p.s reservoir today and they are still bubbles being formed.
even though i changed the black o ring to the orange inside the inlet to the power steering pump.

so i guess im gonna be doing a rebuild this weekend lol
would that stop air from entering the system?

^^^ most prolly....

air in the system means there is a leak somewhere.....u got the TSB done recently right ? just take her back to the dealership and explain your disappointment....see what they can do for you.....

if they dont do shizzz then do the rebuilt urself....

All '07 Type-S are excluded from that recall.

I would suggest check the 2 hoses (return/supply) in the reservoir....if they are nice and snug, i suggest a PS pump rebuild...
