Help please-'05 Acura TL trunk shows open on cluster

Help please-'05 Acura TL trunk shows open on cluster

"Hi. Please help. . I have an 05acuratl. Theinstrument clustershows trunk open but trunk is closed. I just bought the car and thetrunk latchwas broke when i got the car so i Just installed new oem acuratrunk latch.Trunk lightis off. All buttons for opening trunk function fine. I disconnectedtrunk lightjust to see if light on dash for the trunk goes out .Still on...I disconnected thetrunk latchconnection and still on. I'm kinda stumped

trunk shows open on cluster

Sorry all new to the site. My 1st tl. Couldn't find any post on my particular question
My latch and fob and trunk opener work fine. Brand new latch as well. Problem is trunk is closed but on mid shows open

I honestly haven't. I had figured since they worked I had assumed they were ok

I'd test per the service manual.

or just buy a new car, its easier
