!!HELP!! Alarm going off by itself and lights staying on

since this morning my alarms been going off by itself like clockwork. I then noticed that after I stopped the alarm my parking lights and drls were on. after disconnecting the battery and cleaning the terminals I now have my parking lights and headlights staying on until I put the keys in and in the on position before stating or run the car for them to turn off. while this is going on the car is displaying the green dash light indicating that the headlights r on as well as the audible warning that the lights are on, but like I said before that they go off after I start the car or turn the key to -on-. I have had my hfl disconnected as it hasn't worked in a couple months and also never use the auto headlight function the switch is off as well as my fogs. hope someone could help. maybe battery? what do u guys think?

The same sort of symptoms happened to me earlier this year when I accidentally left my sunroof vented overnight during a severe storm. The sunroof drains became plugged and water overflowed into the interior fuse panel.

I removed the cover and put a fan in the car to dry it out. Haven't had any issues since!

I would agree to stay positive and swap out your battery for a brand new one. Weak batteries have been known to manifest themselves in all sorts of odd electrical issues.

That MICU would go haywire if water got onto it.

Place a fan, blowing at the fuse panel to dry things up.
No need in replacing the battery at this point.

btw,..all the electronics in the vehicle are controlled by that unit.

the MICU sits in the back of the fuse panel. You can only see it if you remove the whole unit

What I encountered during heavy rains driving on the interstate my dash lights would dim then brighten up. Next my wipers started to work faster even though I had it set on the first speed.

Next, I noticed my alarm would randomly go off ( to fix that I had to buckle the drivers seat belt when car is parked in order for it not to go off )

Some other weird stuff was happening too.
I spent a couple of weeks doing some research and ultimately determined that I must of had water get into that unit.
Lo and behold, I had a separation of the windshield seal which leaked a small amount of water into the car, down the A pillar and into the MICU.

There were no wet spots at all until I removed the MICU ( its a bitch to remove )

Long story short, I placed a fan blowing air towards it and re-sealed windshield and never had the issue again.

can you test the battery first? Take it to pep boys or something and let them load test it?
reason I say that is it would suck if you buy the battery and the problem is still there.

cool bro thanks for the tips. haven't had any of the other issues u spoke of except the alarm one and will take a look at throwing a fan in there to try and see if it help. battery has been disconnected for a couple days and plan of trying it when I get home. if the problem persists then I'll check voltage on the battery and start looking into other options

There are 8 trigger point for the alarm as follows:

1 each for the 4 doors
1 for the engine hood
1 for the trunk
1 for the radio
1 for the ignition

When you set and arm your alarm does the red LED on the driver's door blink approx once every 8 seconds?
When you lock your car via the key fob and do it twice do you get the confirmation beep from the car?

Mine too, at 2am on a school night :(((

Same thing just happened to me. Pulled the fuse cover and started the car, drove around for a while with the heater blasting through the floor vents and after about 20 mins when I parked, before shutting it off I cycled the headlight switch a few times and noticed the drl light went off so I killed the car and restarted. Everything seemed normal on restart. Prior to restart the abs light, drl light and traction lights were all illuminated continuously

My alarm went off at random too once upon a time. Turned out to be the hood latch.
