heater problem? and cold air intake questions !

im having some issues with my heater. i recently noticed when set to 23 24 25 26 it would be cold air and after 27 28 29 30 it would feeel warmer. i sat in my dads odyssey and when heat was at 23 it was WAY hotter than mine. what could be the problem?

and its time to change filter for my CAI. can i changed filter just through wheel well without taking bumper off?

Your HVAC has nothing to do with a CAI.. Which CAI you have? oil or dry filter?

And your Acura is built with sensors to apply the right amount of cold/heat to areas that need it most first.

it could be initial warmup.. or it could be your heater control valve.. I had a similar problem and believe that was my culprit yet I haven't tried to turn on the heat recently. Open your hood and look toward the rear firewall. You'll see the valve with one inlet pipe & one outlet pipe and a wire cable attached to a lever with a screw tap in.. is it leaking coolant??.. look below it for dry white coolant marks.

edit: yes it has nothing to do with your CAI.. and wtf? where do you live that you need heat? it's effin 95F here already.

if the coolant is leaking through the HCV then I would replace it.. I think I paid like $40 USD for the valve & two hoses.. go to acuraoemparts.. it'll be there.. takes some searching though.. I think they call it a water control valve.

but you should top off your rad with 50/50.. and fill the reservoir up to the low level until you get it addressed and use the a/c sparingly or at least monitor your coolant level.. don't touch the rad cap when the car is hot.. or remove the cap until you know the car has fully cooled off.. otherwise you could get a nasty burn.

let us know if you do see a coolant leak.

so i looked at my coolant level and the container is EMPTY.....also noticed whitish blue crusty crumbs on the rubber tube connecting to the "caution hot, do not open when car is hot" cap. so i topped it up to the max line with 50/50 and left it overnight. next morning i checked it and the coolant level is between the min and max line....it dropped half! i looked all over for leaks but cant find any. what can be the problem?

I have a similar issue. In manual mode, t'll heat up, but after a while, it cools down, even if it is set at 26 C. With my Mazda 5, I set the temperature at 22 C, it blows hot air until I turn down the temperature. I took it to the dealership I bought it from and they told me it was normal and that the car compensates for cabin temperature. I explained that it was not on climate control, but manual control. They insisted the car is "smart" and would compensate.

Anyone have something like this? Or know what it could be? The heat works after the car warms up, but then starts blowing cool air after about 20 minutes of driving, unless I turn up the temperature again.
