to fix..
First you need to get the bulb from the dealer. Then you have to remove the center storage console. The member by the name 'rets' posted how to remove console. Its here: https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...42&postcount=5. Slide the console toward the rear and you will see your two heated seat switches. Disconnect the connector for the switch you will be changing the bulb on. Then peel off the silver sticker. Be careful where you place it because you will have to re-use it. Get a small flat tip screwdriver and turn the blue socket counter-clockwise and wiggle it out. Install the new bulb and turn the socket clockwise till you feel the socket is snug inside. Paste the silver sticker back over all three sockets and give it a good rub to make sure its secure. Connect back the connector and put ur park lights on. The switch should now illuminate. And just put back your console.

i forgot to mention that after you slide your console to the rear, you should take out the cup holder. The cup holder is held in place by three gold screws. This will give you more space. And on 'rets' post you would just need to refer to page 20-77 to remove console.

This seems pretty complicated. I have the same problem. Even though its annoying, the time and effort required isn't worth it. Anyhow, it should be covered by the factory warranty, so next time you get the car serviced, you could have the dealer do it.

it's me, Alan Rickman.
Just to make sure everyone is clear... the "ON" indicator lights up; there's an amber (should be an LED and it shouldn't burn out) next to LO and HI on each switch, however the switch itself does NOT light up at night like the rest of the buttons on the TL.

Timmahh,
They are not LED's, and they do burn out, a lot. I replaced all of the steering wheel lights, seat heat, and all of them on the instrument cluster (the 4 switches up there). It's not difficult, but if they were LED's it wouldn't be a problem. Acura went on the cheap on these lights IMO.

Ok, My Acura Loving' peers out there...... this is how I changed my interior steering wheel lights (Bulbs...) in my 2004 ACURA TL
- You HAVE to remove the AIRBAG to change any of the bulbs on the steering wheel.... (pictures below)
Here are the steps....
1. You first have to remove the negative from the battery (unhook the battery)
2. You then have to remove the airbag plug from under the steering wheel. There is a compartment on the bottom of the steering you need to open and remove (separate) the yellow plugs in it
3. Unscrew the two screws (THE BIG HOLES) on both sides of the airbag (THIS IS THE TOUGHEST PART OF THE WHOLE EXERCISE)
4. Once you're done... the airbag should come loose and then depending on which bulbs are out...(the Cruise Control lights on the right OR the Radio volume and channel station control light) you can unscrew the silver unit from the back of the wheel and once that Unit comes loose it will pull out .... you flip it over and change whichever bulb is out....!
Then do everything you did in reverse and iput it back together.....
PICTURES BELOW.....
HOPE THIS HELPS MY FELLOW ACURA LOVIN' PEERS OUT THERE....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT HESITATE TO FLASH OR HONK WHEN YOU SEE ME OUT THERE.....!!!!!!
BE CAREFUL NOT TO FORCE ANYTHING COZ IT WILL BREAK.... IF YOU UNSCREW IT IT SHOULD COME OUT EASILY....
AGAIN... DO NOT FORCE ANYTHING....!
ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t get steering wheel bulbs out and don’t want to force them this is what I did with mine ...(long story) someone destroyed my steering wheel when trying to steal my car so I had to get creative with my control buttons and actually removed them without taking the airbag out just have to get the right side first then the left and be patient
