Grill and shifter cover issues

Hey guys... got two issues. One is that the paint is peeling of the grill. How hard would it be to replace it and is it worth it?
The other one is that it looks like some kind of padding/seal is coming lose underneath the cover for the shifter. When I touch it, feels sticky like a rubber-seal. Anyone have these issues come up and any idea how to go about fixing them?

That one is easy-- you can remove the shifter bezel by lifting it slightly, inserting a credit card along the side and then pushing the card lightly to compress the bezel's side tabs.

That padding/seal was placed there to stop the bezel from creaking and making noise. Others have just put Teflon tape underneath the bezel to minimize any noise.
