Getting key programmed to car

I was quoted 140 dollars to get the key cut, immobilizer and programed. Well can't I just pay the cost of getting the key cut and it programmed for the killswitch? I don't want to pay for it to be programing for the switchblade cause there is a topic in the garage for that, which is where I think the cost is coming from. I told the guys at Hinshaw Acura in Tacoma Washington but told me "the program cost has to be included cause its done at the same time". I'm calling bullshit on that one, what do I need to say to get it what I need done, or am I wrong on this. Thanks

140 is normal.

They have to program the immobilizer, which most places charge $50 and up just to do.

Yea I just did it. It's crazy how the dealership was actually the cheapest option. Everyone else I called wanted to charge 300+

I'm in Colorado, so a local dealer did it. They cut the key for free but charged $57 to program.

That's normal - not really special pricing.
You just have to ask different dealers.

My dealer cut my key for free too and charged me $55 to program...

I know up here in Washington State, they rape you for all you got. And even then when they paired up the fob to my car, for some reason the 2nd memory unlinked. I didn't want the hassle of taking it back so I just did it myself. Hinshaw Acura is terrible
