Front dr side brake creaks 6MT brembos...

When you put your foot on the brake in my car you can hear it creak when youre not moving, i took the caliper off and made sure the pads werent stuck or anything like that and everything looked ok, the pads have maybe 6mm of material remaining so they are due soon but im not sure what is causing the creak. The brakes arent warped and the car has 65k miles on it

I had the exact same problem on my car, do a search for it you'll find the whole story. Long story short it was the pads down to the end, replaced the pad and rotors everything was good. My pads still looked like they had some time left on them too. My car had 57,000 at that time.

When you inspected the pads...did you pay attention to the end? I have seen alot of pads with abnormal wear on the edges that caused brake noise.

Are both of you on the original pads? I have 6MT and was wondering how many miles i could get of the original pads?

Mine were original pads. I got 57k out of the front pads (almost 90% highway), still on the original rear pads @ 62k

lol, they told me that they couldn't find the noise and that the bulletin was strictly for them to diagnose. they didn't fix it.

I actually told the manager what TSB i was looking at. He claimed that once a new TSB comes out on the same problem it takes the place of the older one so that he didnt have access to it however i had printed it out and showed it to him. however some of the TSB numbers for squeeky brakes are 090105, 07282004, 04019. I belive that i used the first one.

This isnt the exact one that i used but this is the most recent one that i found on this board. http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/b04-019.PDF
Print that out and go talk to your manager and when they say you cant do anything about that pull out the bulletin and ask why acura would have released this if it wasnt a issue.
once agian i guess i was lucky but it worked for me. Hope this helps

Mine are having the same problem, driver's side front is making creaking noise when applying brakes. Dealer said it was my aftermarket pads and the shims. Which is B.S. because the shims were factory and I changed the pads and rotors (H2 Cermanic Rotora Pads, and Slotted Rotora OEM replacement rotors for Brembos), still making noises. I don't know what can cause this...

Update:

The car now has 86k miles on it and the pads were replaced and the creak has stayed the same since it started. Easiest pad change ive ever done also
