Exclamation Fan Relay Switch HELP

I turned my car off this afternoon and it sounded like it was all still running. Called a mechanic to my house and he was here within 10 min.s Said it was the fan that was still running ( I was worried the car was going to blow up or something and took out to a pasture). The fan finally went off and no the car won't start? Any ideas? Could it be a dead battery - mechanic is coming back later but I'm freaking right now because I don't know what to do or how much I'm looking at spending here. Also does anyone know the part number for the fan relay switch? Any help would be great. Thank you

This is almost word for word from a poster months back.. The fan relay is under the hood in the fuse box. The fan control relay is right next to the fuse box. I would just go to your local auto part store, ask them to check your fan relays, they may show up okay (no continuity) but that doesn't necessarily mean they are. The fan relay is probably the culprit. It's a 4 prong normally open relay, any part store should have it. They're real simple devices.. you can probably find them online from ~$10 but don't be surprised if some places sell them for ~$25-35.
