Drivers Window Auto Feature FAIL

So, last night.. for the THIRD time since i've bought my type-s... My battery died (almost.. i had to crank the car 4 times until it kicked over)

Since then... my Drivers side window.... the Auto Up/Down feature doesnt work!! The window still works, but the auto down/up doesnt.. if i press it slightly or hard.. doesnt matter

any thoughts/suggestions? I'm confused... dont feel like bringing my car to the dealership over this...

Thanks

Yea you gotta reset your car. Unhook the battery for 10 mins and then start again.

This happens to me too when my car likes to randomly loose all power when I shut it off.

Relearn it. Once you run the window to the top hold it for five secs. Window control unit loses memory when the battery dies.

run the window all the way down, keep holding 10 seconds after totally down... then immediately run window up and hold 10 seconds past it being totally closed... problem solved.

battery dying for the third time... hmm.... what's drawing current and draining your battery?

I see a Viper r/s in your sig.... wonder if it's overdrawing current (alarm, anti-grind/starter disable relay) .. i'm assuming your battery is otherwise fine and it's being charged appropriately...

My Viper system would drain my Optima Yellowtop if I left it for extended periods (over 2-3 weeks) on my '93 Accord.

edit: I'm kinda suprised you got it to crank. When my OE battery died, before I replaced it, It just went *click *click.. nothing.

i think its just the crap OEM battery.... i wont lie, i was sitting in the car for about....45 minutes on the phone, but i was in (I) position, so only the radio was on... ive had cars that i can sit for 2 or 3 hours with no problem....

i really need to replace them OEM battery.... the first 2 times it died... i had NO reasoning as to why.... the car sat still for about 16 hours... but it was dead as a door nail

the first 2 times, i had to jump... this time, i was about to go inside, realized i had been in the car for about 45 minutes, and decided to let it run before i went to bed for the night... first 2-3 times i flicked the key, it sputtered, and stopped (1 touch starting in 07+) the 4th i held the key down, gave it gas ( i know, its FI, it shouldnt make a difference) but the car fired right up !!!

Yeah had the same shit happen to me once. Also.. bro.. if you replace your battery look to see if you can upgrade to a Braille or some shit and then get a refund from ACURA for the difference. Worth while doing.. you can get a Braile or Optima for like a little over 100 bux if you do it that way.

This is a standard procedure on all Acura models with the auto feature.
