Unhappy Driver 1 & Driver 2

Scenario:
Driver 1 uses Driver 2 Key fob. Unlocks locked door. Mid reads "driver 2 detected".

Action:
Driver 1 uses the button on door to select #1 settings. Seats & Mirrors adjust for Driver 1.

Question: How come the radio presets did not switch to Driver 1? They stayed Driver 2?

Question: How can driver 1 set the radio etc to his presets after using Key fob 2?

The presets only change when the other keyfob is used to open the doors. So, if driver 2 used their keyfob last after driver 1 used his, then the driver 2 presets will be selected. Then, if you want them to change to the driver 1 preset, you have to use the driver 1 keyfob to open the doors. This also applies to airconditioning settings.

The button on the door only does the seat and mirror. The keyfob does the radio presets.

And this works for 05 only, 04 did not have the radio preset ability when using the keyfob.

Thanks Ron A. That is what I suspected...It seems silly to me that the memory buttons inside the car don't also work on the radio presets and that there is no way to get to the other drivers presets without the keyfob...oh well!

thanks again.

I agree that this is a bad design by Acura.
