Door damage. Will it be totaled?

So had some damage to both driver side doors. Trying to go through insurance to repair. Do you think they’ll cover or total it?

In reality, that shouldn't be... I'd just get two new doors (if they're a different color) paint and bolt on...

Honestly, they could be repaired easily, especially the rear door.

Try paintless dent repair first.

I'll echo the PDR to see what can be done.

Def PDR on the rear door, but I think we're beyond that on the front.

One strategy: collect insurance, search used auto parts online for doors that are the same color, install 'em yourself, drive to bank with profits.

Insurance would total it out depending on the condition of the car. If that happened to mine it would be a total loss.

About 10 years ago, I had a similar situation with a Honda I owned free and clear. I kept the car after a fairly minor accident with no structural damage. The insurance company paid me the value of the car less salvage value, and I had it repaired for less than half of their check. I kept the car a few more years and then sold it with a clean title, disclosing the accident and repairs that were done.

Not sure if it would work in CA, but if so you could keep the car, buy a couple of used doors of the same color, bolt em on, and have a nice check in the bank as well as a solid car with a clean title.

That damage is cosmetic and very minor... Probably under $1,800 total... (Bondo & paint)
