Do your dome lights flicker or pulse when starting the car?

I was just wondering, because mine does, and the OEM Acura battery is not even 1 year old.

When you start your car, do your dome lights just stay consistently lit then turn off?

No such issues in my '04 (yet). Are you saying flickering happens in the act of starting or immediately after starting? Shooting from the hip, I'd guess battery cell going bad if during starting. Had that happen to a friend with a 1-yr-old Ford Ranger. If flickering at immediately after startup, alternator may be starting to die (can't supply good steady juice at initial idle). May want to test the battery and/or alternator...

Heck, call it good then until more definitive bad battery/alternator indications show up...

I can't remember if it did the flickering when I replaced the battery lol

It could be normal, IDK

When the starter cranks, it flickers. (Don't know if normal)
After the car starts up, the lights go out (normal).

Mine slightly flicker but it's nothing that's ever worried me.

mine don't really flicker in either of my cars. they might dim a touch when i'm starting the car. the only time they have ever flickered (with the dash lights) was when the battery was about ready to check out, as the car cranked the flicker would occur (the light would almost go off and then on).

It doesn't worry me, but now since I have my footwell LEDs installed, you see them pulse when the car cranks and it looks kinda weird lol
