I bought a used deck lid spoiler and the old 3M tape on it will not come off. I know I can use goo gone or whatever blah blah blah. Would it still sit flush if I just ran 3M VHB tape all the down in the center? Thanks

 

Grab a blade, goo gone (let it soak), and put some work into it.
