HIDextra aftermarket install problems
Hi All,
I installed aftermarket HID ballast/bulb combo after my OEM igniter burned out. I got the new lights working, however they seem extremely dim compared to the OEM lights. I think they may also be pointing too low. I have tried adjusting them from the screws under the hood, but they don't seem to have any effect on the beam level.
I bought the Power Series ballast which is supposed to be the highest output (55W, 3900 lumens) and 6000k bulb. The product link is D2S HID Light Conversion Kit | HIDeXtra
I am noticing they look pretty bright in the pictures, but on the road they suck.
Does anyone have any experience with these HIDextra lights? They seemed to have pretty decent reviews, however I think they are so dim that it is not safe to drive at night (especially on the highway).
