Debadge fail (i think?)

so i went to debadge my car and after removing and cleaning there is still a definitive outline (as you can see below). it's not a difference in paint shade, it's as if the plastic outlining on the emblem wore an indentation into the paint. do you think i can 'wheel' this out? i have emblem adhesive so i can toss them right back on, but i really like the look with them off so i'm willing to give it a shot. anyone else experience this?

Yeah, it happens all the time!

On my TL, I used elbow grease and goo gone.
On my friends 2nd gen TSX, I brought out the big guns and used the PC7424XP.

You need to clay, polish, and wax it, that should make it go away.

Clay isn't going to help a bit .. you will just need to polish the area .. even by hand with something like Meguiars Ultimate Compound and a soft cloth .. then wax the area.

That was the ticket--thanks

I used a bug n tar remover that was slightly chalky in consistency...almost like a mild rubbing compound (which is basically what it is anyway). That removed the majority of the dirt build-up and then i polished it a bit. Def took some effort to get there but it looks great now.

I wouldnt waste my time buffing it out and heating up the paint. I would just cut it out with 2k, and then buff it

I used scratchx lightly 2-3 times over a week and it finally went away. When I thought I got it, dust would get on it and show right back up again.
