Is this CV axle movement normal? Hunting down a clunk.
I've been replacing a bunch of suspension parts on my 07 TL-s. After doing outer tie rods, end links, and struts, all the clanks were gone.
Last week I took out my lower control arm to replace some bushings. After reinstallation, a new clunk has come. I was thinking I damaged my ball joint removing the control arm, but it has no play and doesn't move when pried. Struts, bushings, end links, and outer tie rods are all tight.
The only things I think it could be are the inner tie rods or the CV axle, maybe I pulled on them too hard while removing the LCA. Here is a video of my inner CV axle - I noticed it makes this noise when I shake it. Is this normal??
Can a bad inner tie rod cause a clunk when lightly turning? It is pretty loose and I will replace them anyways but I don't know much about axles.
