Clunking noise when driving over bumps
Hello, I have a 1999 Acura TL and i'm having a minor suspension issue, The story is when i drive over a bump there's a clunking noise on the right front side of my car, The only thing i can thing of it being is something loose or worn and every time i go over bump's i always here this annoying front end "Clunk"....Any idea's or thought's on what the problem can be? Thank's Guy's

It could be a few different things, but I would say most common part to cause a clunking would be ball joints. Likely the lower ball joint. If you jack up that wheel try grabbing it at the 6 and 12 o'clock positions and pull alternating top and bottom to see if you feel any play. Also try putting a long 2x4 or pry bar under the wheel and pull up to see if there is any play. The upper ball joint you can grab the upper arm below the upper ball joint and try shaking back and forth and see if there is any play

Mr.Helpful Diagram
Dont forget the weak stabilizer links and also upper control arm.

Yeah, as these guys said.....chances are it's either the sway bar end links or the upper control arm's ball joint.

I vote for upper control arm- those bushings fail and it clunks over speed bumps
an alignment shop can look the car over/under and determine what's needed
If you don't know about the special ball joint separator- leave this one to a pro
