CREAKING? Fixes....

I have recently started to get a lot of creaking that comes from the driver and passenger door, where the window meets the top of the door. Everytime I drive i get it, the second I crack the window a bit it goes away. So I know that it is just rubbing on the rubber or something. I don't have a lot of faith in the dealer at this point - they will probably say they cannot duplicate the problem...yadayada.

Does anyone else have this problem?

ANY SUGGESTIONS????????? PLEASE HELLLLPPPPPP?????

Thanks

Thumbs up

This should help, I started having the problem in Feb. when the weather was cold then it went away then came back when the weather got real warm in June. I had good results by cleaning the rubber seals at the top and sides of the windows with silicone lube. I beleive the rubber seals are drying out and making the noise when the rub against the window when the road get rough. This explains why it goes away if you roll down the window.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was going to go to the lengths of putting a lubricant like vaseline on the edge of the window just to prevent the creaking noise. But I figured this would cause quite a mess when the windows were down.

Is there a special cleaner that you could suggest that I use to clean this rubber. I don't want it to dry it out more and am hoping that it can help prevent the problem for a longer period of time.

Thanks for the help - any othre suggestions, keep them coming!!
